Main duties
rewriting text supplied by hotels & safari lodges into original marketing text for product listings on our websites
researching and writing African travel articles / editing travel articles for our websites
updating existing travel products on our sites - fact checking information is correct and adding updated info
writing according to SEO – inserting supplied travel-related keywords into the text
working with our travel consultants to write travel and holiday packages
attending supplier presentations and site inspections, if required
Requirements
studies or a degree in the field of New Media, Writing or Communication
excellent written command of the English language
travel writing skills – writing in a descriptive and creative style
extremely computer literate
experience with web content management systems (CMS)
basic understanding of SEO and HTML
creative, highly-motivated and proactive
must be a team player but also be able to work independently
must be able to take constructive criticism and do rewrites if necessary
work according to publishing deadlines
