Siyabona Africa is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Inbound Travel Support Consultant to enhance our sales support team in our Cape Town Office.

Key Qualifications

  • Completion of Matric, with a preference for those holding a college degree or relevant post-study courses in tourism.
  • Must possess a valid identity document and, if applicable, a work permit for foreign nationals.
  • A background in Tourism with a robust knowledge of Southern African geography.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the travel industry, with a strong foundation in client support and travel booking.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a similar customer service role, preferably office-based.
  • Ability to manage customers from diverse backgrounds with patience and clarity over the phone.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and one other South African official language.
  • Proficient in keyboard skills, internet navigation, and social media platforms.
  • Capable of working under pressure, independently, and prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Team player with a proactive approach to self-development and training.
  • Demonstrate strong sales skills and proficiency in travel booking.

Responsibilities

  • Handle first-line support calls and emails, addressing travel product queries and after-sales service issues.
  • Provide exceptional phone support, manage progress enquiries, and solve customer problems.
  • Direct specific travel enquiries to appropriate support colleagues and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Professionally manage basic travel enquiries and assist the sales team with booking services as needed.
  • Utilise customer service tools to deliver accurate responses and an outstanding customer experience.
  • Escalate customer issues effectively and provide feedback on system and process improvements to management.
  • Exceed customer expectations by delivering superior service and performing additional duties as required.
