A maximum of 10 guests are hosted, ideal for a secluded getaway. The 5 comfortable double rooms are sited on both sides of the main lodge and all have river views. The rooms contain single or double beds, all of which have en-suite bathrooms. Amenities include heaters and fans.
The Mudlark Riverfront Lodge consists of a central timber lodge containing the entertainment and dining areas. There is a lounge with a fireplace for chilly winter evenings.
Hilary, the owner and chef, was trained in England and specialises in country cuisine. Acknowledged as the top chef in the Overberg Chef of the Year competition in 2000, she serves traditional specialties such as oysters, fresh line fish, calamari and ostrich. Meals are taken in the communal dinning room, traditional braais (barbeques) take place alfresco on the deck, or if you are out for the day, picnic lunches can be arranged.
