Durban is well-known for its beaches and even if you’re in the city on business, make it a point of rolling up your slacks and dipping your toes in that bathwater warm Indian Ocean. Head to DropKick Murphy’s if there’s a game on and you’re frothing for a cold pint. Drop in at The Charlatan if you’re in the mood for a sophisticated cocktail. Up for a hearty meal? Find your seat at the well-known and well-loved Italian eatery of Spiga D’oro.
Parks and Pelicans
If you have some extra time during your stay at Audacia Manor pay a visit to the Durban Botanical Gardens which stands as Africa's oldest surviving botanical gardens. Entry is free and you’ll have the chance to walk amongst some of the most beautiful greenery in the city. It’s an especially great place to have a picnic with pelicans, geese and monkeys happily meandering around. Keep your eye on their website when you’re in town and you might just be lucky enough to attend one of the musical events hosted here.
