Getting to Savuti Camp

The Linyati Reserve is set between the Okavango and Chobe regions and is double the size of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in South Africa.

Savuti Camp is situated a short distance from the Okavango Delta in the Linyati Reserve in northern Botswana.

About the Linyati Wildlife Reserve

The Linyati Wildlife Reserve in Botswana offers a spectacular wildlife experience and covers 125 000 hectares of prime wildlife country. This reserve is set between the Okavango and Chobe regions and is double the size of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in South Africa.

The mighty Elephant is dominant in this reserve, especially in the winter months. Red lechwe, zebra, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, sable, roan, eland, giraffe, baboon, monkey, warthog, crocodile and buffalo are also regular visitors to this area.

Linyati Reserve is also home to lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena and a host of nocturnal creatures including bushbaby, spring hare, aardwolf, Serval, genet and pangolin. Birdlife such as slaty egret, whiterumped babblers and wattled cranes are prolific in this area.

Directions to Savuti Safari Camp

Access to Savute Camp is easiest by light aircraft from Kasane or Maun. You can also fly direct to any African lodges in the area. The 6 seater aircraft are so nimble that they can pick you up and drop you off at your desired lodge with no trouble. You also get an in flight aerial view safari at the same time.
