This tented camp offers Ngorongoro Crater safari activities like game viewing safaris and hiking. Back at camp there are forest walks with a ranger, mountain bike routes, cultural tours with a Maasai guide, coffee tours and romantic lantern lit dinners.
The Ngorongoro Crater and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) are certainly some of the most beautiful parts of Tanzania. This incredibly historic area is rich with wildlife and stunning landscapes. Crater Forest Tented Camp is an excellent base for safaris to Ngorongoro Crater and Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania.
Forest Walks
Directly from the lodge, guests are accompanied by an NCA ranger for safety and taken on animal trails in Ngorongoro Conservation Area forest. This is the natural habitat for a variety of wildlife such as Elephant and Buffalo.
Mountain Bikes
The area is excellent for mountain biking which is why Crater Forest Tented Camp has developed great trails to explore.
Cultural Tours
The Maasai guides with Crater Forest Tented Camp are happy to show guests around the area and share information about their culture and knowledge of local wildlife and vegetation.
Coffee Estate Tour
For something completely different, guided tours can be arranged of the coffee farm where the camp is situated. Guests can see how coffee is grown, harvested and processed at the estate coffee factory and taste the brew from freshly produced Arabica coffee.
