At Monate Conservation Lodge, guests on safari in Limpopo, South Africa, can venture out on early morning and late afternoon game drives with professional guides. There are also walks and many bird watching opportunities, caves and rock paintings to see.
The reserve 1839 hectare private reserve has Leopard, Cheetah, Buffalo, Rhino, Hippopotamus, Brown Hyena, Crocodile, Caracal and Jackal as well as a large variety of antelope such as Giraffe, Eland, Oryx, Waterbuck, Kudu, Bushbuck and many more.
Monate has also been chosen to participate in a Cheetah rehabilitation project, a unique and special highlight for guests as they witness the progress. Also, there is the Brown Hyena project for research and study purposes.
Dining at this South African safari lodge is an exciting experience. Mouthwatering meals are prepared by a friendly staff and served in various venues. The lodge's dining room offers views overlooking the manicured gardens, the natural cave is an intimate setting overlooking a waterhole, the bush boma offers a romantic, candle-light dinner, and the lodge boma is ideal for social gatherings around the campfire.
For an African conference, the lodge has 2 conference venues that can be booked for conferences, corporate workshops and for team-building purposes. A maximum of 60 delegates can be accommodated and a smaller venue can accommodate up to 18 delegates. The air-conditioned venues include a data projector, wireless internet connection, a television and sound system, as well as white boards.
