By Road

From O.R. Tambo International Airport:

Follow the R21 to Pretoria and then the N1 North toward Polokwane / Pietersburg, there will be 2 toll gates to pass through. Take the R516 off-ramp to Bela Bela (Warmbaths).

From Bela-Bela (Warmbaths): Turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Marx street - Waterfront Shopping Centre ahead of you. Continue across one traffic light intersection (Engen & Total Petrol stations on either side) until you reach a T-Junction – the Elephant Springs Hotel is ahead of you. Turn left into Sutter Road – see the Thabazimbi signpost ahead. At the T-Junction turn right into Minaar Avenue. From here follow the signs to Thabazimbi (R516).

From Thabazimbi: Turn left at the 2nd Stop street towards Lephalale / Sentrum – at the Total Petrol Station. Travel for 32km (19 miles) and turn right to Lephalale (previous name for Ellisras). Drive 11.3km (7 miles) and turn right into Rooiberg Road. Travel 8.2kms (5 miles) along the gravel road, the Marataba gate is on the left.
