Mvuu Lodge is situated to the South of Lake Malawi in the Liwonde National Park. Overlooking the Shire River, guests can find a premier game and bird viewing area in Malawi. The terrain is mostly Shire River floodplains, where Elephants come to drink and wash.
The Shire River is the outlet of Lake Malawi and flows into Zambezi. With a length of about 1200km, the river includes Lake Malawi and the Ruhuhu. The upper Shire River connects Lake Malawi with Lake Malombe.
