Stay at AmaKhosi Safari Lodge
The local Zulu community is an important anchor for AmaKhosi and its staff members as it has provided the inspiration behind the design and decor of the lodge. In keeping with the tradition, the staff members, who are mostly Zulu, have helped build a traditional Zulu Kraal as part of the lodge.
At the heart of AmaKhosi Safari Lodge is the most luxurious blend of river frontage, thatched patios, fine dining, a ladies bar and a lounge accompanied by a library and swimming pool.
Riverbanks are home to the main lodge with the magnificent regal River Suites offering special views of the flowing Mkuze River.
There are only 6 luxury River Suites, accommodating up to 12 guests at a time, so it is very exclusive.
Each suite boasts separate air-conditioned bedroom and lounge with fully stocked mini bar and tea or coffee facilities. Guests can slip into an African dreamland with high thatched ceilings and glass walls reaching for the open African sky.
The en-suite bathroom with a unique bath made for two is decorated with an array of candles and bath salts allowing decadence to take on a whole new meaning and bringing tranquility and serenity to your beautiful suite.
The 2 luxury Umntwana Honeymoon Suites have high thatched ceilings and glass walls. An open-plan design with spacious deck, a private bubble pool and hammock overlooking the river. Couples can relax in the air-conditioned bedroom and lounge with fully stocked mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities and en-suite bathroom made for two.
Guests an also be accommodated at the IsiGodlo Private Villa. This exclusive villa has a spacious lounge area with fireplace, bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a large wooden deck with panoramic views of the Mkuze River area.
