Walking Safaris
Walking opportunities on a Tarangire safari in Tanzania range from a gentle stroll near the camp, to a full day out on foot across the park exploring the recently opened wilderness zone. Walking safaris can be combined with fly camping to give guests the ultimate experience. These trips are professionally guided, interpreted, and escorted by a park ranger.
Birding
The varied habitats at Tangire National Park are home to many different bird species. Spot Flamingos, Eagles, Cranes, Woodpeckers, Hornbills or Geese in the area near Oliver's Camp in Tanzania. Next to the resident species, migrant birds bring the known number of bird species to over 500 during September to April.
Game Drives
With local knowledge and up to date information on the areas around Olivers Camp, the guides are second to none when it comes to finding wildlife. Open vehicles are used and enjoy the freedom of off-road driving to access hidden areas and rare wildlife.
Spot large herds of Elephant, Buffalo and Zebra or take amazing pictures of Leopard and Cheetah in this remote area. Few other visitors to this part allows guests private and unique sightings and night drives are the ideal opportunity to spot the mysterious nocturnal creatures.
Fly Camping
Fly camping (at an additional cost) is a wonderful way to sleep under the stars and enjoy the pure tranquility and raw excitement of the bush on your Tarangire safari in Tanzania. The tents are made of heavy duty mosquito mesh to ensure that you are close to nature but apart from the bugs. The freedom of movement, the intimacy of the light camp and the thrill of being so close to nature is the pinnacle of many guests on a Tanzania safari.
Weddings and Honeymoons
Candle-lit bush dinners under the African skies, fly camping in the middle of Tarangire National Park, champagne breakfasts, and a luxury Honeymoon tent can be arranged.
