The Gondwana Canyon Park is a private park located in the south of Namibia, adjacent to the Ai-Ais National Park. The arid region is host to only a small number of desert-adapted wildlife species such as Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra and gemsbok.
Starting at the Naukluft Mountains, the Fish River flows towards the south where it meets the Orange River. After creating two waterfalls, the river meets up with the Löwen River. The inconsistent flow of the river has, over the years, carved out the canyon’s chasms.
